Pharmacist: My job is a type of medical job that works in the public health services. They work in a different number of settings such as retail, hospitals, clinics, and homecare facilities. (collegegrad.com/careers/pharmacists) in the website it states “community pharmacists work in retail stores such as chain drug stores or independently owned pharmacies. They dispense medications to patients and answer any questions that patients may have about prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, or any health concerns that the patient may have. They also may provide some primary care services such as giving flu shots.” The quote explains a small sample of what a pharmacists career would look like. These are just some examples and they’re provided with more choices but those are the most popular choices. This jobs salary for a regular person consists of 121,500 USD. Pharmacists work on average from 40-50 hours a week from 5-7.5 hours a day. I think that I’m suitable for this job because I am interested in jobs that involve the medical field. I like persuading people and helping people. I also like talking to people and meeting new people and the fact that I would see many different people in this kind of job and I’m very friendly and people would like me with this job. I have an aunt who has cancer and fights it everyday, but she’s still a pharmacist and says that she enjoys the job very much. From the website it says “Most stand-alone Pharm.D. programs take four years to complete. If you complete a bachelor’s degree before entering your program, it will take eight years to become a pharmacist, but if you enter a program after two or three years of undergraduate study, you can start practicing sooner.” (learn.org) Working conditions being a pharmacist have many different specialized jobs. From the website explorehealthcareers.org it says “They also work in hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Some pharmacists work for the government and the military. In most settings, they spend much of the workday on their feet. … Because many pharmacies are open at all hours, some pharmacists work nights and weekends.” These are the main working conditions for pharmacist, yet they have lots of hours and work to do, it’s a good fit for me.
